[Tucker tries not to seem nervous or anything while Rome circles around him. He's not sure how far that whole thing with the emotions and instincts being closer to the surface goes. What if Rome really is more aggressive and dangerous in his other form? At least he looks like something safe and familiar, not the bipedal beasts from back home.
When Rome hunkers down with his tail moving, Tucker takes that as a sign that they're cool, and it's fine to move forward. He does the same lowering gesture before popping up and trotting over, sniffing briefly at Rome's muzzle. It's a greeting he's seen dogs do, and as creatures raised among humans, they might as well be similar.
Being this close gives him a chance to notice Rome's missing eye, the severed toes, the marks through his coat. Poor dude really has been through the wringer, hasn't he? Maybe Tucker can take his mind off of it for a while, and take care of his own restless energy. He's got an idea.
After a couple moments of sniff-greeting, Tucker moves a few steps away, then turns back to look at Rome over his shoulder. Follow me.]
